The whole 1898 feel, look, and presentation of everything kind of hindered my experience with this. I'm not big on "classical" literature, dated material, or historically accurate tales or stories. The writing was superb but I just felt kind of lost half of the time as well and that's due to my lack of interest in the times I believe. Much respect to Alan Moore for bringing some class into something I only previously knew as a Sean Connery movie, and I would definitely like to give it a second shot in the future.. Just not my cup of tea I suppose. I also thought the writer/artist bio's on the back were real too, at first... I was like whaaaaaaaaaaaaat...
