3.5 stars - An anti-climactic ending to an otherwise well-written book. You can see that Flynn's writing has developed greatly since writing this, and it's a testament to her growth as a thriller writer. Her books grab your attention from the get-go and don't let go until you find out every last bit of information you can. I did like this book, and even though it was really messed up it was easy to enjoy. It wasn't anything special or out of the ordinary though, as I could see it being a really dark and gripping episode of Law and Order: SVU or something similar.. Good read though, recommended for fans of Gone Girl or really f#*%ed-up-fiction.
