This hovers right between 3 and 4 stars for me. I can't help but think of TV's Archer when reading Tommy Taylor, and maybe that is why I can't hardly take this graphic novel seriously. I think the concept is cool, of stories coming to life in the real world. But then that leads me to why Bill Willingham has an introduction in this, because it's so similar to Fables in a way. You'd think that it was a spin-off of sorts, or a Harry Potter mockery. I don't really get it, I thought this was going to be great, and I had really high expectations. In the end, I doubt I'll go out of my way to read the second volume.
